What is OYAP?

OYAP is a specialized, co-op program that enables students who are 16 years of age or older, with a minimum of 16 credits, to get a head start on an apprenticeship while still in secondary school. Students are placed with a certified journeyperson and begin achieving competencies from the approved training standard of the trade. Students will be formally registered as apprentices with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
